Silly question but if I could ask, how does one intend on using an Online Only Storage Device while not Connected to the Internet? Would that not simply make it another Local Storage Device?

The point is that the Xbox actually syncs the game save. It actually resides both on the cloud AND on your HDD. Even though the save is there on the HDD, you can't do anything with it if cloud storage...
